While leggings can be considered a year-round staple, they particularly have their moment as soon as the temperatures dip. Whether you’re layering them underneath your work pants to make the commute less harsh or simply love to lounge in them around the house, it’s smart to keep a couple pairs on hand. And if last year’s options are looking stale, we’d recommend picking up at least one of Fair Indigo’s Organic 100% Cotton Leggings.

Fair Indigo constructs its products with organic Pima cotton, an extra-long staple cotton that is softer, stronger and more durable than most other forms of cotton. It won’t pill, shrink or disintegrate in the wash, so it will last in your wardrobe for many years to come. Plus, the cotton is grown without the use of pesticides with farmers “using time-honored techniques like crop rotation for soil health.”

The brand has a surplus of Pima cotton products to choose from, including sweaters, t-shirts, dresses and more. That said, the organic cotton leggings are by far one of the most highly-reviewed.

They’re available in sizes XS through XXL with 2 inseam lengths (26″ and 30″) in a handful of colors, like classic black, deep teal, plum, navy blue and olive. Each pair has a slim fit (which retains its shape) and flat-lying elastic waistband that doesn’t feel too constricting throughout wear. There’s also a pocketed version for sale.

The most talked about aspect amongst reviewers is the fact these “wonderfully soft” leggings are made without Spandex, which is especially beneficial for those allergic to the stretchy material. One person also commented on how versatile they are, writing “so comfortable that I sometimes wear them as pajama bottoms, but I’ve also worn them to work out and as lounge pants.”

“I keep trying to find good leggings – substantial without being bulky, long enough for my 5’9″ legs, and a natural waist (when waistband is at my hips, it makes the dreaded muffin top on me). These fit the bill exactly. No shrinking after a wash in cold, either,” raved another reviewer.

“So happy these are back in stock,” shared one more. “I have them in every color and two pair in black. They wash well and I love that they have no lycra in the fabric. Super comfortable, soft fabric and not too tight on your legs. They are thick enough so there is no see-through also.”

Stock up on Fair Indigo’s pure cotton leggings—with temperatures only continuing to drop, you won’t regret it.
