New Additions to my Spring Travel Wardrobe

** This post is sponsored by Frank & Eileen. All selections, styling, and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support this site!

I’m always drawn to chic yet comfortable clothing in luxe fabrics with quality construction, so when I started hearing the buzz about Frank & Eileen, I was intrigued.

Their travel sets have been the talk of the town… or you know, the Internet… for some time, so I decided it was finally time to find out what all the buzz was about. These are investment pieces, for sure, so I wanted to see for myself if they lived up to the hype.

Frank & Eileen is a woman-owned company that partners with Los Angeles-based artisans and some of the world’s best Italian textile producers to create clothing that not only looks and feels amazing, but will stand the test of time. It’s the epitome of slow fashion, and I think we can all agree, the world could use a little bit more of that!

When it came down to choosing one of their iconic travel sets, I settled on the Effie Long-Sleeve Funnel Neck Capelet and Bella Italian Sweatpants.

My first impression when I pulled these pieces out of their beautifully packaged mailing box was how thick and sumptuous the triple fleece fabric is. The quality is evident before you even try them on.

The capelet is super relaxed and easy to wear with sweatpants or jeans, and I was drawn to the rolled funnel neck and long continuous sleeves. It also has the hand-cut raw hem and edges that is an identifying feature of the Frank & Eileen travel sets.

The sweatpants also have the hand-cut raw hem and edges, and the cropped fit is flattering and easy to pair with your favorite sneakers or sandals. They have back patch pockets that are just the right size for a smartphone, and I love the added detail of the double open seams on the sides.

My spring travel plans are ramping up, and this set is going to come with me wherever I go. It’s great for road trips or even air travel, and I always want something comfy yet chic to throw on at the end of a long day or to wear down to the lobby in the mornings for coffee.

Plus, it’s cozy and comfortable for lounging and working from home. For size reference, I found these pieces to run true to size, or I’d size down, if in between; I have the small in both.

While it was their matching travel sets that first caught my eye, Frank & Eileen was actually started with the purpose of reinventing the button-up shirt for women.

If you’ve been hanging around here for long, you know I’m not usually a fan of button-ups because I find them constricting and awkward to style, so of course I had to try one of theirs to see if they could change my mind.

Well, my friends. Let’s just say, I’m a convert. I have never put on a button-up shirt as soft and comfortable as this one.

This is their Italian Cashmere Touch fabric, and that is precisely how it feels. It isn’t constricting at all, and even the collar has a soft, relaxed appeal.

I also love how it’s designed without the top two buttons. It feels decidedly more feminine than the ones that button all the way to the neck.

The Eileen Relaxed Button-Up Shirt is available in a variety of solid colors and prints, and after much deliberation, I chose this pretty Cream and Pink Plaid.

I was drawn to the soft color palette for spring, and it pairs perfectly with these off-white pants. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the top, and it fits perfectly.

And finally… the dark horse from this order that I never imagined would be my favorite, but lo and behold!

Frank & Eileen’s Derry Illusion Pull-On Pants have the look of jeans, but they’re a pull-on pant with no buttons, zippers, or pockets. So simple and easy to pull on and go, and the slim-straight fit contours your hips and lifts in all the right places.

They have a 10.25″ front rise and a 27.5″ inseam with a 13″ leg opening, so they’re basically a mid-rise slim, straight ankle-length style.

I love the silhouette, but even better, how comfortable they are to wear. I’m definitely going to need to get these in another color.

I rarely wear pants that aren’t denim, but I can see these being a pair that I reach for on a weekly basis. I’m wearing the 29, for reference; that is my normal size in jeans and pants.

This outfit also makes a nice elevated travel look. In fact, I packed it for our weekend getaway to Cape May a couple weeks ago, and my husband mentioned how much he liked it.

I was actually wondering what he would think since it’s a bit of a departure from my usual style, but he appreciates the luxe fabrics and quality construction, and the way it fits and flatters in a relaxed way.

This outfit is perfect for my casual work-from-home lifestyle, as well. I look nice enough to hop on a video call with a brand or one of my team members, but I’m as comfortable as if I was wearing pajamas.

Best of all, all every Frank & Elieen style is machine washable and easy to care for.

As I said at the top of the post, these are investment pieces, for sure, but I can see why they have generated such a buzz in the fashion world.

If you’re leaning into slow fashion and enjoy selectively filling your closet with high quality items that are both functional and beautiful, I hope this post was helpful for your wardrobe-building needs. Frank & Eileen clothing makes lovely gifts, too!
