Recent Amazon Purchases

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my Amazon finds. In fact, some of these orders harken back to when I was getting my girls ready to go off to college, which seems like a lifetime ago. Anyway, I thought I’d take a break from fashion and round up some of the useful items I’ve found at everyone’s favorite e-commerce site.

I hope you find a few new things to try in this post! If you have any good Amazon finds as of late, feel free to share in the comments. (All of these items ship free with Prime.)

What I’ve Been Loving at Amazon Lately

Briogeo Destined For Density Caffeine + Biotin Peptide Density Shampoo & Conditioner

This shampoo and conditioner was recommended by our doctor, mainly for my daughter, who experienced a ton of hair loss before we realized she had Celiac Disease. It’s growing back in, now, but we found a new doctor who recommended this brand, so I ordered it for her to take with her to college. I haven’t tried it, but I asked her about it, and she really likes it. It claims to increases hair thickness and density; it’s safe for color treated, keratin treated, chemically treated and relaxed hair; and it’s sulfate/paraben/silicone free.

LEVOIT Air Purifier

I purchased this air purifier for Becca’s dorm room. They aren’t able to open their windows to let in fresh air, which is medieval in my opinion! Anyway, she has had such a history of sickness in the winter months, I thought an air purifier would be a good idea, and this one comes highly recommended.

Candle Warmer Lamp

I saw one of these at the spa where I go for facials, and I opened my Amazon app and promptly ordered one. (I also bought her candle, which smells divine, but it’s not available online.) With this candle warmer lamp, you don’t actually light the wick. Instead, the heat from the light source melts the wax, releasing a steady and continuous scent to make burning the candle more efficient and also safer. Plus, it’s kind of pretty.

FYY Electronic Organizer

I saw another influencer share this, and I thought it might be nice for travel. I usually put my cords and cables in a plastic bag, but it can be hard to store in my tote. This is nice and compact, and it holds my favorite portable charger with built-in cables, plus cables and cords for my iPhone, AirPods, and laptop.

Jouer Soft Focus Hydrate & Setting Powder + Jouer Essential Travel Complexion Brush

This was a late-night Instagram ad order, which I ordered directly from Jouer, but I was excited to find it on Amazon. It’s a talc-free setting powder that is designed to moisturize your skin while blurring out fine lines to give you an airbrushed finish. I really like it so far. I keep meaning to demo it on Instagram, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I also love their travel complexion brush for keepng in my purse.

Hairmax LaserBand 82 – Hair Growth and Regrowth Treatment

This device is pricey, and I debated about it for months, but my hair is really thinning around my hairline, and I decided to splurge on it. It only takes 60 seconds a day, and it uses laser light energy directly targeted to hair follicles to reverse thinning hair, promote hair growth, restore hair growth cycle, increase density & fullness. I figured it was worth a try. I’ve only had it for a month, so I’ll report back after using it for a while.

KuaiLu Womens Flip Flops

I forget where I saw these orthotic sandals, but I impulsively ordered them to wear around the house, and they are soooo comfortable. Sometimes I even walk the dog in them. They have a yoga mat insole and are so cushiony and supportive, and they definitely help relieve my residual foot pain from my injury last spring. If you have plantar fasciitis, or finicky feet in general, I highly recommend these.

1

Owala FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Straw

My daughter asked for one of these to take to college. She says “everyone” has them, so if you’re looking for a gift for a young person, this might be a good one. It’s BPA-free, and it has a patented FreeSip spout that allows you to sip upright through the built-in straw or tilt it back to swig from the spout opening, as well as a push-button lid with a lock to keep it clean and spill-free. It doesn’t leak or tip easily, and it has a compact design.

Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum

I ordered this after I shared it as a trending fall beauty product, and a bunch of you said it was worth it. It’s a Korean skincare brand, and this eye serum works to brighten your under-eye area, smooth fine lines, and reduce puffiness. I really like it. I use it in the mornings under my daytime moisturizer.

1

SpaceAid Drawer Organizer for Clothes

When I was re-organizing my underwear and sock drawers over Labor Day weekend, I decided I needed some type of organization so I went on Amazon and found this. It works great! I love how it separates my different types of undies, socks, and shapewear.

BAGSMART Clear Toiletry Bag

I’ve come full circle on travel bags. After investing in the fancy Truffle Cases, I decided to go back to cheap Amazon versions because my Truffle cases are all cloudy, even though I tried to clean them. (I just looked at their Care & Cleaning page, and they suggest this cleaner and these cloths, so I may order them and try it.) But anyway! I ordered these when I saw them recommended by another influencer, and I really like them. The size and shape is perfect for my travel-sized toiletries, and they’re easy to pack in my favorite carry-on suitcase, whereas the Truffle cases are oddly shaped. I may go back to those if I can get them cleaned up, but I wouldn’t invest in them again. I really like these Bagsmart ones.

Shark ZU561 Navigator Upright Vacuum with HEPA Filter

When my Oreck died a few years ago, I asked my house cleaner what vacuum she recommends, since she does most of the vacuuming anyway. She told me to order this one, and I did. It worked great for exactly four years, and then the cord frayed and it stopped working. Paul is going to get it repaired, but I didn’t want to wait around until it’s fixed, so I just ordered a second one. At $239, I don’t mind having two. We will keep the old one in the basement.

Garden of Life Organics Women’s Gummy Vitamins

I take these women’s multi-vitamins, and I love them because I hate swallowing pills. They’re tasty, and I hear good things about this brand. It’s Certified Organic; Non-GMO; and Gluten, Soy & Dairy Free.

1

THORNE Creatine

I keep hearing buzz about supplementing with Creatine, but it wasn’t until my personal trainer suggested it that I actually considered it. It’s supposed to create a quick burst of energy and increased strength to aid in your workout and improve recovery. I’ve been losing strength and muscle mass, which is typical for women our age if we aren’t consistently lifting heavy weights (which I do with my trainer, but I just don’t get there often enough, and I don’t have as much energy as I used to.) All that to say, she suggested supplementing with Creatine, so I ordered it, but I haven’t tried it yet. I’ll report back.

SALT & STONE Natural Deodorant

I saw a friend talking about this natural deodorant, and while I love my Native deodorant, I thought I’d give it a try, and I love it. It’s not as sticky feeling, and it smells really nice. It’s also aluminum, paraben, and sulfate free.
