Ever since Ayo Edebiri started working with stylist Danielle Goldberg, something in the culture shifted. I’m so serious. The actress went from doing dirtbag comedy sets in Brooklyn basements to serious dramedy actress, and she needed to call in the pros for awards season. And thank god for that because she is now one of the best dressed girls in the game at the moment. But while everyone discusses her plentiful red carpet sartorial wins, I’m looking at Ayo Edebiri‘s mixed stripe look from the Inside Out press tour.
That’s right. While you all drool over the baby blue suit (and you’re right to, she looks great, obviously), can we please also talk about the striped black and cream tank top maxi dress that she wore over a striped black and white long-sleeve shirt? Can we please also talk about how the whites don’t match and neither do the blacks and how that kinda makes it work even more? Can we talk about how the friction between the visual weight of the stripes on the shirt and the stripes on the dress add this really fun vibe to the outfit? Can we talk about those sculptural ass Polly Pocket shoes?? What do you mean, my eye is twitching????
But while we’re here, you know what, sure. Let’s talk about the blue one too. Edebiri sported a custom Bottega Veneta suit in a gorgeous robin’s egg blue, designed by Matthieu Blazy. The pant sits high at the waist and is cropped to a capri length, and the blazer hits her mid-thigh. She paired it with a matching button-down top and styled it with an open-toed pump. The hair was in a blowout of all blowouts.

Goldberg, who also frequently works with Greta Lee and Olivia Rodrigo, previously styled Edebiri in custom Bottega earlier this year for the 2024 BAFTAs. She’s also put the actress in The Row, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, and more.
