Well, it’s starting! Some of the outfits we shot in Florida are already selling out. It’s always a gamble when I take one of these trips and shoot so many looks. I try to prioritize the ones that I think have the highest sell-out risk, but at some point, I end up scrambling to get some of them out to you as inventory is getting depleted on their key pieces.
Treasure & Bond V-Neck Sweater (S) (option) // Wit & Wisdom Frayed Ankle Flare Jeans (6) // Vionic Merlot Sandal (7.5) // similar belt // similar earrings // straw clutch
This lightweight v-neck sweater is the most recent article of clothing to succumb to this fate. I’ve shared it and worn it a few times already, so hopefully a lot of you already have it. It’s a nice lightweight, fine gauge cotton knit, and it has a flattering v-neck and elbow-length sleeves, making it an ideal transition piece.
Two White Monochrome Outfits for Spring
A big trend right now is monochromatic outfits, especially using shades of white, so I tried two versions with this off-white sweater.
Look #1: Beige on Beige with Ecru Denim
First, I paired this creamy oatmeal-beige sweater with kick fit jeans in the denim color of the season: ecru. These jeans are super flattering and easy to wear. They come in several color options; and they run true to size, or size down if in between.
To that, I just added brown accessories. The belt and shoes and bag aren’t super matchy-matchy, but the all work together. I love how elevated and easy this is!
I need to call out these sandals. They’re the Vionic brand, and they’re so comfortable. The leather straps are super soft against the foot, and the padded footbed even has arch support. The chunky stacked 3″ heel is stable and walkable, and still gives you a nice added height.
Look #2: White Denim Swap
Then I also styled a simliar look with white jeans. These are the PAIGE Claudine ankle flares, and they’re a bit more spendy than the Wit & Wisdom kick fit jeans, but the quality is excellent, and I love the lived-in details. In fact, the wash is called Lived In Crisp White Surfside, which pretty much nails it. They also come in petite sizes.
Treasure & Bond V-Neck Sweater (S) // PAIGE Claudine (29) (petite option) (budget option) // Sam Edelman Waylon Slide (8) // straw clutch // Tom Ford sunnies (budget option)
Here’s a close-up view of the hem. It’s not your basic raw-cut hem, it has a slight scalloped cut to it, which I think is really fun. It’s just another point of interest and shows the attention to detail that PAIGE denim is known for.
With this look, I changed to a different pair of sandals. The Sam Edelman Waylon Slide is a really nice option for a lower (2″) heel, and I love the raffia details. (This is the Rich Cognac/Cuoio color way.) If you prefer flats, check out the Sam Edelman Irina.
For accessories, I wore brown tortoiseshell sunglasses and some of my favorite Lagos pieces, but I wish I’d thought to wear my raffia drop earrings. They would really amp up the look and tie in with the straw clutch. I also just ordered these, for something a little different.
While I love the simplicity of these looks, you could always throw a denim jacket (or blazer) or olive utility jacket on top. This twill jacket would look good too, either in the slate blue for a bit of a contrast, or the vintage walnut to keep the monochromatic look.
