From her charismatic, perfect performance of “Flowers” to winning her first (and second!) Grammy, it was clearly a very good night for Miley Cyrus. The superstar took home the awards for Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year, of course, looking good enough to be nominated for a Grammy while doing so. Which, if we were to guess, also added to her good vibes of the night.

Despite her many outfit changes—including a Gucci gown and vintage Bob Mackie number—it’s clear her hair was the star of the show, even if every garment was reflective, metallic, and so Miley. Inspired by “a punk, Raquel Welch from the ’70s,” hairstylist Bob Recine created a beautiful, voluminous, swept-back blowout that was full of drama and bounce. However, once we took our eyes off the Barbarella realness, the makeup underneath was just as worthy of a standing ovation.

The gorgeous makeup was the work of James Kaliardos, Cyrus’ longtime makeup artist. Kaliardos told Byrdie that the theme of the makeup was “luminous and glowy, like a golden goddess,” playing perfectly with her confident lioness hairstyle and golden Maison Margiela red carpet dress.

To make sure Miley felt like herself on the red carpet and “not too done, not too fake, not too Grammy Awards,” Kaliardos created a classic look with “her beauty reinforced.” He turned to all Pat McGrath Labs products to give Cyrus a golden beat.

Obviously, a goddess glow starts at the skin. So, to prep her base, Kaliardos applied both the Divine Skin: Rose 001 Essence ($86) and The Essence Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Primer ($40) before going in with any makeup. Then, to make the star’s complexion all the more glowy, he applied the fan-favorite Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation ($69) before adding more coverage with the Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer ($34)—both in shade light 4.

Then the fun comes in—blush, lips, and eyeshadow. Using the same product Pat McGrath used to give some glow at the ultra-viral Maison Margiela Couture show, Kaliardos applied the Divine Blush: Legendary Glow Colour ($29) in shades Forbidden Fleur and Fleurtique to cheeks.

Cyrus’ eyes had the most glow, though, thanks to the Bridgerton Skintillating Diamond Body Shimmer in Golden Majesty ($43), and a combination of  Mothership X: Moonlit Seduction in shade Astral Gold Lust ($128) and the ChromaLuxe Artistry Pigment in Golden Seductress ($35) on the inner corners of her eyelids. All the shades blended together for a soft wash of golden glitter the exact color as her dress and Grammy awards.

Finishing off her look with the lips, the celebrity makeup artist used PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Nude Venus ($29), which he says “won’t move during performance,” and the MatteTrance Lipstick Heart’s Desire Edition in Honey Haze ($39).

"The end result is just gorgeous with perfected shapes and tonal palette, with [all] the golden goddess punctuations." He finished by dusting more of that Bridgerton body shimmer on the rest of her skin, and sending her on her way to win big.
