Two of the biggest names in athleisure are linking up. This morning, SKIMS and Nike announced a collaboration brand for women’s sportswear, titled simply, NikeSKIMS. The new brand aims to serve a fitness apparel space that takes into mind the size inclusion solutions and sex appeal that SKIMS seems to master. The collaboration will place an emphasis on female athletes, their ethos being that if you have a body, you are an athlete. It’s not entirely clear how this brand will deviate from traditional athleisure or other female-marketed sportswear, or even just Nike and SKIMS as solo brands, but the two being buzzy brands, the idea of a team-up definitely inspires curiosity.

Per a press statement, the new brand will aim to hit training apparel, footwear, and accessories for female athletes. In very Internet-style, Kim Kardashian posted a flash photography of her a NikeSKIMS employee badge on a lanyard.

“We’re energized by the opportunity to build a new brand and shake things up for the next generation of athletes with NikeSKIMS,” said Heidi O’Neill, Nike’s President of Consumer, Product and Brand in a press statement. “This partnership brings together the best of both brands and unlocks an incredible opportunity to disrupt the industry with our shared passion and commitment to innovation. We will invite even more athletes into sport and movement with product that makes them feel strong and sexy.”

“Nike and SKIMS share a deep commitment to innovation, inclusivity and pushing boundaries, driven by an unwavering belief in the power of women,” said Kardashian in a press statement. “This partnership is the culmination of that shared vision, delivering product that is meticulously designed to sculpt and perform for every body. Every single detail has been obsessed over and carefully considered. We’re incredibly excited to unveil our first collection this spring.”
