It may be Après ski season, but Sydney Sweeney is wearing her crisp white winter best out in New York City during the weekend snowfall.
Sweeney was seen in Manhattan’s SoHo on Sunday evening wearing a white full-length Burberry belted trench coat with shaggy white trim on the sleeves and collar and at the skirt. She also had on a high neck top and wide leg pants. She paired the look with white heeled boots, a winter classic, though to wear heeled boots during an active snow storm is definitely a choice that says, fashion over function. Period. But it was functional enough because Sweeney was stable enough to take snowball hits from her fiance Jonathan Davino. She paired the look with a pair of black narrow sunglasses, which is how you know she’s a real fashion diva who’s in it for the look. You have to respect the earnestness of wearing sunglasses at night—yes it’s to look cool, and she looks cool. So what?
There’s definitely a return to fur, even if it’s sometimes faux fur. Sydney Sweeney is not the only girl wearing fur again this season. Last month, Sabrina Carpenter wore a stunning little black and white Chanel fur coat and outfit from 1994, designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Suki Waterhouse recently also wore a few fur coats out in Manhattan. Taylor Swift wore a red fur coat to a Chiefs game to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce. And though it’s never really fur coat season in Southern California, Kim Kardashian wore a fur thong.
