New year, new Julia Fox. Or actually, that’s wrong—I meant to say new Julia Fox haircut. If there’s one thing I learned from reading Down the Drain, the actress has always been—and will always be—herself.
On Tuesday, Fox took to TikTok to show off a new chop that she DIY’d with a pair of kitchen shears. (My best friend and I call this an “intuitive haircut” and it’s brought about some of our very best looks.)
“Girl, don’t do it. It’s not worth it. I’m not going to do it, girl. I was just thinking about it. I’m not going to do it," she mouthed alongside a viral soundbite, holding the aforementioned pair of scissors.
And then, the big reveal as the camera flashed to her new, short 'do: "I did it." Suddenly, she was missing a few inches of hair, her previously medium-length locks now just dusting her collarbone.

While the cut itself is simple—I’d call this bob a one-length wonder—it’s the author’s hair color that really makes things interesting. Her white-blonde hair has a lavender tint to it that appears even brighter when the length is shortened. Is it a blunt-end based optical illusion? Or the fact that the color is concentrated to a smaller area?

In a true "celebs they're just like us" move, Fox wrote in her post's caption that she "immediately regretted" the cut. But luckily, fans were quick to point out how much they loved it.
“Julia Fox you look good in everything pls,” one commenter wrote, while another encouraged her to take things even further and go for a pixie.
Honestly, it’s a perfectly cute cut. Inspiring, even! But if she still hates it next week, I know this woman knows her way around a wig closet. (As long as she keeps the color—it’s so good with those bleached brows.)
