Though we knew that Sabrina Carpenter’s iconic bouncy blowout was going to be the haircut trend of winter 2025, she’s already added another style to our inspo list. That’s what happens when you’re always working late! The hits keep coming.

On January 2, the 25-year-old posted an Instagram carousel that offered fans a new version of her famous blonde locks. This time around, she forwent the smooth curls that we haven’t been able to get enough of (don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll be back) and gave her natural texture some time in the winter sun.

Her frizzy (we say that with love!) waves were welcomed in warmly, looking extremely adorable for the duration of their stay. It’s also worth noting how well both this style and her go-to Hollywood curls compliment her curtain bangs—if you were looking for a sign to chop, this is it.

The photos seemed to all be captured at the same ski resort, where Carpenter changed from a snowflake-patterned gown to her Hello Kitty snowsuit and après outfits while retaining the same cute, tendril-y updo. Rumor has it that she sported a wig while on her Short n’ Sweet Tour, which makes sense given the sheer enormity of getting ready for showtime. But this hair, which she rocked on vacation with friends, was decidedly grown from her very head.

As far as her vacay makeup went, the Grammy nominee toned down the doll-like glam in favor of a more natural, straight-in-from-the-cold flush of blush. (Minus the icy shadow she wore with her snowflake gown—that’s a story all its own.)

In one dressed-down photo, she offered a close up of the freckles blooming across her cheeks. In another, she added just a touch of shimmer to the inner corners of her eyes and swept on some lip gloss.

Lessons learned from this ski princess and snow queen: Frizz is in and a winter breeze is the perfect blush hack. Oh, and the best way to warm up from the cold? That would be that me espresso.
