After a brief hiatus from football, the queen of Chiefs Kingdom has finally returned to Arrowhead Stadium with a winter look that’s catching everyone’s attention. Taylor Swift‘s red coat, a Charlotte Simone faux fur number, instantly became the talk of the stadium—and social media—after her arrival at boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s Kansas City Chiefs game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

The $512 statement piece features a dramatic fur lining, collar, and cuffs; it was certainly one way for Tay to mark her return! The singer, who had missed Kelce’s last two games while wrapping up her record-breaking Eras Tour, paired the eye-catching coat with a classic black turtleneck and miniskirt ensemble, stepping things up with Manolo Blahnik’s Lina Black Suede Knee-High Boots (a cool $1,595) and Sheertex’s (now sold-out) Argyle Classic Semi-Opaque Tights (which originally retailed for $128). A black fur bucket hat and a classic red lip tied the whole look together.
The bold winter ensemble quickly sparked conversation across social media, with fans divided over the dramatic look. “THE HAT THE COAT MISS TAYLOR SWIFT IS SERVING #ChiefsKingdom,” one enthusiastic fan tweeted, while another supported her fashion risk-taking, commenting on Instagram, “I love that she’s taking risks and wearing fun outfits! Following her final Eras Tour show on December 8 (which Kelce missed due to a game), the NFL star orchestrated a surprise tour wrap party that caught the singer completely off guard. According to a source who spoke with Page Six, “Taylor couldn’t have been more shocked when she saw everyone standing there. That was the last thing she was expecting.”
Swift’s friend Ashley Avignone confirmed the surprise factor on social media, sharing, “When she thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner but it was actually a giant surprise party with her friends and family, props included.”
