When it comes to styling my hair, nothing makes me feel more confident than a bouncy blowout. So, I’ve taken it upon myself to try every hair tool on the market for voluminous results. My latest discovery? The SHEGLAM HAIR It-Curl One-Touch Instant Curler.

While I’ve curled my hair hundreds of times, I am far from a professional. So, I was especially drawn to this tool's easy-to-use design. I always look for products that are reliable, quick, and not overly complicated—and this one-touch, automatic curler hit every mark. Keep reading to see how this SHEGLAM HAIR curler helped me achieve a perfect blowout in under 10 minutes.

The Packaging

The streamlined design of the It-Curl One-Touch Instant Curler is what first drew me in. There are two barrel sizes to choose from, a 25mm and 32mm, and I went with the larger size to pair with my long, thick hair. The outside of the barrel features a curling claw, which helps contain each section of hair and protects you from heat damage (and from burning your fingers). The base of the wand is fairly lightweight, and has a straightforward button selection that makes the styling process smooth. Plus, once you’re finished using the tool, it’s simple to wrap up the cord and store it in a cabinet or pack it in a suitcase for travel.

The Price

This curler retails for just under $50. Compared to other hot tools on the market, this is an incredible price point—especially with this level of technology.

How to Use

This was my first time ever using an automated hair tool, which took some getting used to, but I loved how this curler did all the heavy lifting from the start.

The barrel has a GlossPro™ Ceramic Coating, which not only ensures an even heat distribution, but also releases negative ions to the hair to prevent heat damage, lock in moisture, and leave hair smooth and shiny. There are three temperature settings to choose from—I went with the middle option, 380F, and found that it worked well for my thick hair.

First, I sectioned my hair, pulling the top half up with a claw clip to expose the bottom section. Then, I grabbed a small section of hair (about an inch or so) and placed it into the base of the tool. Before you can begin, you select which direction you’d like the hair to be curled—the general rule of thumb is to curl away from the face. Once the tool was ready, all I had to do was tap the rotate button and hold down until I heard two beeps to indicate that the curl was finished, before gently pulling it out. I repeated this until I had tucked, tapped, and twirled my entire head.

The Results

Once I got the hang of using an automated tool, it was smooth sailing on my journey to the perfect voluminous, bouncy blowout. After letting my strands cool, I finished the style by rubbing a few drops of the SHEGLAM HAIR Hot Streak Thermal Defense Glow Oil Elixir in my palms and raking my hands through my hair. This was the perfect finishing touch to lock in the shiny, smooth look. From the easy and user-friendly design to the bouncy results, this tool will be a staple in my hair routine moving forward.
