Not sure about booking that end-of-summer trip? Halle Bailey might convince you to finally reach for your passport. Since her role as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Bailey has embodied her character’s bubbly spirit (with a great manicure in-tact, of course). Her latest vacation glam is just further proof that she’s a real-life mermaid.

On July 17, the 24-year-old posted photos of her Mexico vacation to Instagram, sharing snaps of her son and the beach, capturing the relaxed vibe of her beach getaway. In the slideshow, Bailey gave us a peak at her summer vacation packing list: A pink rosy lip? Check. A knitted cover-up? Check. Extra-long mermaid curls? Triple check.

Bailey's extra-long (nearly hip length) style immediately caught our eye. She styled her deep-brown hair in knotted locs which blended into bouncy curls that rested on the top of her hips. As of late, Bailey's been embracing longer lengths for the summer (for the BET Awards earlier this month, she opted for a long, curled swept-backed style.) The multi-hyphenate paired her mermaid hair with a knitted Brat green cover-up and a bronze manicure.

The key to her vacation glam? A less-is-more approach, a lá Sabrina Carpenter. Bailey’s wispy lashes and cherry red lip gloss were the statement of her getaway glow, with just a soft pinch of pink adding color to her cheeks. Carpenter, who also recently shared her summer trip on Instagram, traded her bouncy blowout for natural waves and her glowy glam for an equally simple, but effective makeup look.

In another photo, Bailey pulled her hair back into a ponytail for a day at the beach and opted for just the essentials—sunscreen and lip balm—which she paired with a blue bikini.

Summer's not over yet if Bailey has anything to do with it.
