Never did I think that the words “Rihanna” and “pigtails” would be included in the same sentence, but here we are. In all honestly, It shouldn’t come as a surprise—the singer has always been the moment, but she’s been on a roll lately delivering new products across her brands, with corresponding chic campaigns. For her latest, she puts a high-fashion twist on girly pigtails for the Fenty x Puma Phatty Creeper campaign.

On July 11, Rihanna posted a video of the new campaign to her Instagram. It features bored "kids" in a classroom passing notes (with a cameo from the great Anjelica Houston as the teacher) until they finally reach Rihanna, who is blowing a carefree bubblegum bubble. The note reads "Rihanna hearts Creeper Phatty," announcing the newest black and red colorways of the shoe. For the back-to-school-themed shoot, the 36-year-old wears blonde pigtails, complete with ribbons and clips.

Following the school theme, Rihanna is dressed like an edgy editorial schoolgirl wearing a white oversized shirt, crimson red Phatty Creepers, and messy pigtails. Her honey blonde hair is parted in the middle, with two wavy front curtain bang pieces framing each side of her face, fastened with a daisy clip. She created her grungy pigtails by gathering two large pieces of hair on both sides with white ribbons and red bows. Adding to the messy feel of the hairstyle is one tiny braid in the front.

For glam, RiRi opted for a soft makeup look with a frosty champagne eyeshadow and a bronzed, radiant complexion. Her nails played the schoolgirl part, too. On a square shape, she painted collegiate stripes in forest green, maroon, navy, and gold that run vertically on her nails.

Her coquettish pigtails get an A+ in our book.
