Ever since she gave up her iconic “Rachel” lob, Jennifer Aniston almost always wears her hair at a shoulder-length, and in a polished blowout. That’s why it was such a big deal when she cut a lob for the 2024 Golden Globes, and when she went for an even shorter bob at the SAG Awards. Now, the actor has made yet another hair change, and this one brings her back to her California-cool roots.

On July 9, Aniston posted a photo to Instagram, joined by her Morning Show co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Tig Notaro, and revealed that the cast had started working on the show's fourth season. "Let @themorningshow season 4 games begin 🥳 Here we come!" she wrote in the caption. In the photo, she's wearing ripped jeans paired with a white tank top and has long (emphasis on long!), blonde, beachy waves.

Aniston’s longer hair is the most dramatic change we’ve seen from the actress this year. Her layered, It Girl blonde hair was light and tousled, and looked as though it air-dried naturally into loose easygoing waves. It also looks like the star went slightly lighter with her color, with more bright and sunny highlights. It’s unclear if this is an older photo or an expertly-applied set of extensions, but either way, the longer style gives the actor a relaxed Malibu mom energy that’s perfect for summer.

In the photo, the 55-year-old looks bare-faced, wearing little-to-no makeup besides maybe a touch of concealer and lip balm. Naturally, Witherspoon, Aniston, and Notaro are all wearing matching denim outfits. Commenters noticed this and gushed about their excitement for the show's upcoming season.

Everyone is opting for long blonde beachy waves this summer. Call it the Sienna Miller effect, but even Aniston is on board. Only time will tell if her new long cut is a permanent change.
