Spring has sprung, and one of our favorite Brits is stateside. Charli XCX’s street style is here, and what is, perhaps, her most anticipated album is getting teased out with some serious looks. She’s used to doing unexpected things and taking joy in surprising people. And this time is no different.
Charli wore a pair of faded black knee-length jorts styled with a pointy black heel. She also wore a cropped dusty black cropped cardigan, abs out, no bra. She’s got a black handbag strap hanging from her shoulder. Her long, black hair was middle-parted and gelled down, and she’s got on black sunglasses and probably an Elf Bar in her pocket.
Charli was in New York back in March for her Boiler Room set, featuring her fiance and 1975 drummer George Daniel, Julia Fox, Addison Rae, and others. There, she wore just a giant T-shirt, fishnet tights, and sunglasses. Now that she’s got an album to release and remixes to promote, not to mention a brand new tour to prep for, she’s in town this time with her long-time collaborator and friend Troye Sivan, the two going on tour together for the Sweat Tour. She’s got three tracks out now from the new record, Von Dutch (as well as a remix of the song with Addison Rae), Club Classics, and B2b. Another song, 360 is set to come out on May 10.
Right before the Oscars, Charli took to the Internet to write a satirical list of promo ideas, one of which was piercing her nipples. She then debuted a pierced nipple at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party while wearing a sheer, yellow dress. So we know our girl loves a moment of fanfare and attention, especially while in an album cycle. With all this coming down the pipeline, we’re hoping for a wave of Charli pap shots because nobody serves up a look quite like the queen of the club.
