Some people see the world as their runway. But Doja Cat’s Daily Front Row look proves she sees the world as her runway—and her hotel room. The star showed up to the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in an extremely weird and surprisingly chic outfit—a sort of ode to lounging around in your underwear. By now we know Doja Cat will take any opportunity to make a bold fashion statement, even if it means turning a few confused heads. Her newest look is no exception, and it’s clear Doja Cat is continuing to make fashion weird again.
After she donned a hazmat suit onstage at Coachella, Doja Cat proved nothing is too out-there for her to wear. She’s constantly pushing the boundaries of fashion, while somehow looking cool in the process. Like all great fashion icons, she’s not afraid to take risks—and her commitment to her looks is unmatched. Sadly, this means most of her outfits are hard to recreate at home. But her latest outfit might be her most doable one yet. You probably already own her statement-making accessories, though you’ve likely never thought to use them as fashionable props.

Most celebs wear their most polished outfits to red carpet events, but Doja Cat isn’t most celebs. She attended the April 28 event in underwear, sheer tights, and a long fur coat, accessorizing with layered necklaces, kitten heels, and oversized thick frame glasses. But the most important part of her look? Doja strutted down the red carpet with a glass of red wine in one hand and a vintage suitcase overflowing with lingerie in the other.
The ensemble seemed more like an après-flight outfit than a red carpet getup. And Doja’s look wasn’t complete without the most important accessory of all: her stylist Brett Alan Nelson (who, quite fittingly, wore boxers, a robe-like blazer, and an eye mask as a hat). When posing together, the two looked ready to bust out their coziest slippers and order room service.
While wine and luggage weren’t on our list of red carpet essentials, leave it to Doja Cat to make us rethink what formal attire can and should look like. True trailblazers know that rules are meant to be broken, and all Doja Cat is doing is making fashion more fun.
