This morning, Emily Ratajkowski decided the chilly weather in New York City was the perfect opportunity to step out in her best sci-fi look. Emily Ratajkowski’s Matrix outfit is the ideal look to wear while brunching with your besties in SoHo, or falling down the rabbit hole in wonderland (IYKYK). The supermodel knows a thing or two about bundling up in style and this look is proof enough.
EmRata has been feeding us well with her NYC street style. Recently, she’s been rocking everything from a little shirt and big pants to fuzzy hats. EmRata’s style perfectly captures the model-off-duty aesthetic—refined but still trendy. Even while experimenting with statement pieces, she somehow always looks put together. And while everyone in NYC is patiently waiting for summer, EmRata is giving us hope that we can still look cute in the cold.

Earlier today, Emily Ratajkowski was seen wearing a Matrix-coded look—the outfit featured a black leather trench, black pants, ballet flats, and wrap around Y2K glasses. While this seems like just another chic ensemble pulled together by EmRata, it has all the makings of a perfect cyberpunk-inspired ‘fit. Whether EmRata intended it that way or not, we’re obsessed with how effortlessly she pulls off such a distinct look.
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time EmRata dressed like she just stepped out of the Matrix. For Paris Fashion Week last summer, she wore a similar outfit featuring a more oversized black leather trench coat and black knee high boots. And while we’re using her latest outfit as inspo for colder days in NYC, she admitted to being completely naked under her leather trench for PFW.

It’s hard to deny Emily Ratajkowski loves a Matrix moment. With a leather trench coat being heavy in her daily rotation, who knows what kind of looks she’ll put together next? Warmer days are approaching, so we might not get many more chances to dust off our favorite jackets. If you’re like EmRata though, you might still wear your favorite leather jacket in the summer heat.
