Julia Fox stepped out in New York completely pantsless, and somehow it wasn’t the most shocking part of her look. (Julia Fox’s hair shoes earned that distinction.) A lover of fashion risks, Fox is known to push boundaries—wore a bright bright orange hair to look inspired by Velveeta cheese. It only seems right that as other celebrities, like Sydney Sweeney and Kristen Stewart, have taken the no-pants trend mainsteam, Julia Fox would find a way to make it weird again.
For her latest jaw-dropping, Fox wore an embellished blazer adorned with scissors, tweezers, paperclips, and other oddities. The jacket was an ode to OMG Fashun, Fox’s new reality show where contestants use unconventional items to create their own fashion looks. That concept is clearly up Fox’s alley, as she finished off her look with cross-emblazoned underwear, no pants, and shoes that can only be described as hair-raising.

While Fox’s entire outfit was head-turning, her hair shoes were the pièce de résistance. She wore stilettos so thin you can barely see them—with blonde hair extensions clipped to her toes. The hair shoes closely resemble Fox’s own locks, warm bleach blonde with silver hair pins. They also match Fox’s signature bleached brows, making the case for matching your hair to your shoes—and your shoes to your eyebrows.
While we predicted that wearing human hair would be the next big fashion trend, Fox has actually been leading the charge since last October—when she wore a dress made out of hair on the cover of Gay Times. And as shocking as it is, this pantless look is only the latest in a long line of risky outfits the star has worn.
If one thing’s for sure, it’s that Fox knows how to put together a controversial look. With such a stacked sartorial resume, the star is sure to serve up another conversation starter soon.
