This ain’t Texas… it’s actually the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. But as far as Beyoncé’s styling team is concerned, you can have a real life boogie (and a real life hoedown!!) anywhere you go.

On April 1, Beyoncé made an appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards to accept the Innovator Award. Fresh off the release of her new album, Cowboy Carter, she dressed for the occasion in a plunging leather Versace outfit from the Italian brand’s fall 1992 collection. Still, the main event—as is usually the case these days—was her hair, which she wore down in flowing, platinum blonde waves accessorized with a black Versace cowboy hat. While the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer kept her locks behind her shoulders for much of the evening, every so often they’d sneak in front, revealing themselves to be well past her waist in length.

The artist behind Beyoncé’s hair was, as per usual, Neal Farinah, who used his “favorite” products from the star’s new Cécred haircare line to get the look. While not as icy as the hues she’s favored lately (I would call her locks straight-up white at one point), Beyoncé’s hair is still back from honey blonde and dyed an extremely light, cool shade.

For her makeup, the mother of three kept things fairly simple with expert contour, shimmering gold eyeshadow, and a brown lip liner/pink lipstick combo finished off with some lip oil. The products came courtesy of her makeup artist Rokael Lizama’s own collection.

“So excited for this ERA you continue to Break Boundaries and Inspire us all,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “Of course I had to use my new Lip Collection for this special moment Alignment Lip Shader and Lucero Lip Oil with Refined Velvet Creme Lipstick underneath.”

At the event, Beyoncé accepted her award from none other than Stevie Wonder, heading to the stage with sunglasses on before removing them to reveal the gorgeous eyeshadow.

“Being an innovator often means being criticized, which will often test your mental strength,” she shared in her speech. “My hope is that we are more open to the joy and liberation that comes from enjoying art with no preconceived notions.”

This, of course, also includes artistic hairstyles and beauty looks. If you’re headin’ to the hoedown, please leave all preconceived notions at home.
