I know that Ice Spice has signed off on the popular wisdom that its Barbie’s world, but I have another idea. You see, I think that it’s actually Ice Spice’s world! Especially at the Grammys.

Walking the red carpet at the February 2024 awards show, the four-time nominee chose a denim-on-denim look by Baby Phat. If you had a moment to look past her signature copper curls and glossy lip (I'd call that the spice), you'd find a cropped jacket trimmed in shaggy cream fur and a floor-length skirt, train included. The ice came courtesy of a massive gold-and-diamond cross necklace, plus the perfect sweep of highlighter.

While the “Barbie World” rapper chose to wear her copper hair past her waist (styled by her favorite hairstylist, Kadijah Blade) for pre-Grammys festivities, she went back to her short curly qs for the main event. The 24-year-old’s makeup look was created by another member of her tried-and-true glam team: makeup artist Karina Milan, who used a whole array of Charlotte Tilbury products for the evening.

"The inspiration for tonight‘s look was keeping Ice’s glam true to herself: 'Bronx Baddie of the Grammy’s'," Milan tells Byrdue. "Soft, clean liner and a fluttery lash! Her new album Y2K is our biggest influence right now as far as trends."

To prep the Best New Artist nominee’s skin, Milan used Magic Serum ($85), Magic Water Cream ($100), Magic Lip Oil ($40), and Cryo Recovery Eye Serum ($70). The glowy complexion utilized of a number of products: Hollywood Flawless Filter ($49), Airbrush Flawless Foundation ($49), and Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer ($33)) completed with a sweep of Matte Beauty Blush Wand ($42) in the matte pink shade Pink Pop, Airbrush Bronzer ($58), and Hollywood Glow Glide Highlighter ($48) in Pillow Talk Glow.

For the artist’s eyes, Milan used the wonderfully colorful BeautyVerse Palette ($75) alongside a healthy double-dose of eyeliner—black and winged up top and metallic on the bottom. That glossy lip featured three products: Lip Cheat Liner ($25) in Foxy Brown, K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick ($35) in the brand new pink Icon Baby, and Collagen Lip Bath Gloss ($35) in Pillow Talk.

“The key products used tonight are my trusted Charlotte Tilbury lip liner and lipstick combo, as well as my favorite new red carpet lashes, Kiss’ The New Natural Lashes in Glowy Skin ( $5) half lashes,” says Milan. “They truly add the perfect lift and dimension to the eye. I applied these at the outer corners for that subtle lift then added some drama and fullness with imPRESS Press-On Falsies ($9) pressed on under the lash line.”

In accordance with her Baby Phat ensemble, Ice Spice went with a long, square-shaped, pink French manicure that featured every bit of Y2K nail art in the (salon) books: think detailed swipes you know were created with the very tiniest brush, gems, and stars. There were even bows, bringing the famous redhead right up to speed with 2024 and the coquette nail trend.

See, I rest my case. It's Ice Spice's world. We're just living in it.
